Melbourne Award Finalists 2018
It’s been a huge week at Dialogue in the Dark!
As we wind down from our celebrations for World Sight Day and White Cane Day, we are absolutely delighted to learn today that Dialogue in the Dark has been announced as a finalist for the 16th Annual Melbourne Awards.
A Melbourne Award is our city’s highest accolade, providing the City of Melbourne with a platform to celebrate the inspirational achievements of people and organisations whose passion and commitment have helped make Melbourne one of the most liveable cities in the world.
The awards celebrate significant contributions in the areas of sustainability, community, multiculturalism and strengthening Melbourne’s profile, with winners being announced at a Gala Awards Ceremony on Saturday 17th November. A full list of finalists can be found in the media release here.
We are so proud to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award after only 18 months of operation. It is a testament to the dedication and tenacity of our incredible team who open themselves up every day to share their stories and spark a greater social dialogue to inform and improve society’s understanding of the diverse skills and talents of people with blindness and low vision.
We take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors, visitors and ambassadors for helping share this important dialogue as we simply wouldn’t be here without your support.
A big thank you from the whole team at Dialogue in the Dark!
